How to Install
- Open the .ai file in Illustrator
- Open your Brushes panel: Window > Brushes
- The brushes load themselves, nothing to import
- Draw a path with the Pen, Pencil, or Paintbrush tool
- Click any brush to apply it to the selected path
One thing worth knowing: stroke weight rescales the texture. The same brush at 0.5pt and at 6pt gives you two different lines.

How is this different from the 99 Bristle & Stroke set?
This set is about line: pens, hatching, stippled and frayed edges, for drawing and lettering. The 99 set is painterly: bristle marks and broad strokes for filling and mark-making. If you draw, this one. If you paint, that one.
Can I use these on work I sell?
Yes, with the Commercial or Extended license. Personal covers your own projects and portfolio.
Will these work in Affinity Designer or Inkscape?
No. They depend on Illustrator's brush engine, so opening the .ai file elsewhere gets you the artwork, not working brushes.
What if a brush won't load?
Email me with your order number. Digital sales are final, but a file that doesn't work is on me.
