Yes, and updates are free for life. Brush sets are built on Procreate's standard brush engine and Esther actively maintains them, including updates that take advantage of new Procreate features like barrel roll.
Your original download link stays valid and always serves the current version of the set, so you never repurchase. Whenever a set gets a meaningful update, Esther emails everyone who bought it, so you'll know an update exists and can re-download it from that same link. Keep an eye on the inbox you used at checkout.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of digital products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If you encounter any issues with your download, please contact us for assistance.
Yes, you have unlimited access to your digital brushes. You can download them as many times as you need.
Once you complete your purchase, a download link will be emailed to you instantly. You can access and download the brushes using the email address you provided at checkout.
Every brush from Professional Digital Brushes is made by illustrator Esther Nariyoshi from real art materials, not assembled from stock textures. She draws with actual colored pencils, oil pastels, artist grade crayons, gouache, and markers on paper, then captures how each one behaves into Procreate: the paper tooth, the waxy buildup, the way color shifts inside a single stroke.
She also builds in Procreate Brush Studio capabilities that most brush makers overlook, particularly color dynamics and digital blending. The Duo Tone brush in the Gouache set is one example: it moves between two colors within a single stroke, so you are not stopping to re-pick color by hand.
Visual artists at all skill levels. Our brushes cater to professional illustrators, hobbyists, and beginners. They are user-friendly and supported with tutorials, making them accessible to artists of all skill levels.
Installing takes about a minute. After checkout you'll receive a download link by email.
Single brush sets download as a .brushset file: tap it on your iPad and it imports straight into Procreate, appearing as its own set in the Brush Library. Products containing multiple sets arrive as a .zip instead. Open the Files app on your iPad, tap the .zip to expand it, then tap each .brushset inside to install it.
No other file management is needed either way. If you downloaded on a computer, AirDrop the file to your iPad or open it from the Files app there.
Yes, our brushes are regularly updated to ensure compatibility with the latest versions of Procreate, ensuring they work seamlessly with new features.
Yes, with the right license. Most brush sets come in three license types: Personal, Commercial, and Extended.
Personal covers non-commercial work such as practice, personal projects, portfolio pieces, and social media. Commercial adds the right to sell what you make, up to 5,000 units per design, and it's what most artists doing client work or print-on-demand choose. Extended removes the unit cap entirely for unlimited commercial use.
You choose the tier before adding the product to your cart, and you can upgrade later by paying the difference in price rather than repurchasing the set. Email
hello@professionaldigitalbrushes.com with your order number and we'll set it up. A small number of older sets offer Personal and Commercial only.

Yes, our brushes are compatible with Procreate Dreams. Follow the same installation process as for Procreate.
The Procreate sets are .brushset files and work in Procreate on iPad only. They will not import into Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, or Affinity.
We do make separate brush sets built specifically for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, sold as their own products in the Adobe Brushes collection. Those are built for those apps from the ground up rather than converted from the Procreate versions, because brush engines differ and a converted file would not behave the same way.
We don't currently offer Clip Studio Paint or Affinity versions.
