A rake brush draws several lines in one stroke, and a good one makes them uneven. These 21 are built for hatching, shading, and texture with the scratchy, gapped quality of a dry brush pulled across paper. Fine to coarse, in both pressure-sensitive and mono-line versions. Instant download.

What's in the Set (21 Brushes)

21 rake brushes from tight, fine scratches to loose, coarse strokes. Some lay even parallel lines; others gap and wander. Each behavior comes in pressure-sensitive and mono-line versions, and the strokes respond to tilt as well as pressure.

What Are These Rake Brushes Good For?

Hatched shading, textured backgrounds, expressive sketches, and anywhere digital work needs grit. They're especially useful if you:

  • Crosshatch and want coverage without drawing each line
  • Add texture over flat color as a final pass
  • Draw energetically and want the brush to keep up

Licensing

Three options at checkout: Personal, Commercial, and Extended. Personal covers practice, personal projects, portfolio pieces, and social media. Commercial adds client work and selling what you make, up to 5,000 units per design. Extended removes the unit cap, for large production runs, fabric collections, or licensing your art to manufacturers. Started with Personal? You can upgrade anytime by paying the difference. Full terms are in the FAQ.

Questions People Ask

Pressure sensitive or mono line, which should I use?

Mono line for even hatching and fills. Pressure sensitive for drawing, where you want the rake to thin at the ends of the stroke.

Can I use these brushes in work I sell?

Yes, with the Commercial or Extended license, chosen at checkout. Personal covers your own projects and portfolio.

Do I need an Apple Pencil Pro?

No. Every brush works with any Apple Pencil. Apple Pencil Pro adds barrel roll on the sets that support it.

What if the file won't import?

Email me with your order number. Digital sales are final, but a file that doesn't work is on me, and I'll get you a working one.
